The placement of the rack and pinion steering gear at the front of the front axle, the rear shock absorbers towards the outside of the frame and the optimisation of the suspension geometry, enhance oustanding driving performance.

Prado is available with a choice of diesel or gasoline engines, ensuring there is one to suit your lifestyle. For excellent off-road performance, the 1KZ-TE 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine generates impressive torque through the whole power band, yet its operation is remarkably quite and fuel efficient. The 5L-E is a highly 3.0-litre diesel engine which generates plenty of usable torque. The 3RZ-FE is a 2.7-litre gasoline engine that delivers highly responsive power for nimble, sporty driving you will appreciate in the city.
