TOYOTA SHOW OF EXCELLENCE AT THE 2007 ABUJA MOTOR FAIR
The entire Abuja metropolis stood still from 20th June - 28th June 2007 as the 9th Abuja Motor
Show which had as its theme THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT held at the Eagle Square recently.
Nearly all the auto brands and franchise custodians converged to showcase the latest models from their stables to
the delight of the Abuja auto freaks that thronged the venue of the 9-day event.
Leading this galaxy of auto brands that illuminated the Abuja city was Toyota Nigeria Limited. Others were Stallions
Group, Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria, ANNAMCO, Briscoe Ford, Chevrolet, Cherry Motors and Hyra Motors to mention just
a few. Some allied service providers as well as finance organizations also registered their conspicuous presence at the event.
Given the strength and unrivalled pedigree of the Toyota brand in terms of reliability and durability, its delectable array
of models, the strategic location of its pavilion, the unique ambience created by the imposing stand which was dazzling with
a flourish of decoration amidst pomp and ceaseless fanfare throughout the duration of the Show, the Toyota stand was the
Stand to visit as it was always besieged by a heavy traffic of quality individuals such as State Chief Executives, Federal Law
makers, Captains of industries and corporate individuals e.t.c. The Toyota Stand was no doubt conspicuous as it portrayed
excellence, elegance, style, sophistication and strength.

The high point of Toyota's participation and of course the entire Show was the TOYOTA DAY which featured among
others:

Test Drive of the new Yaris by dignitaries and journalists
Showcase of the new Toyota Previa.

In attendance on the Day were top echelon of the Nigerian political space like the Senate President, Senator David
Mark, , who was the Special Guest of Honor and the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, who was the
Guest of Honor. Others include Senators Victor Ndoma Egba, the Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Ararume, Tunde Ogbeha,
Ayogu Eze, Kolawole Babalola, and Ewa Henshaw.
All the dignitaries were accompanied by the duo of TNL Chairman Chief Ade. Ojo OON and the Managing Director Mr. C. K.
Thampy, as they took turns to test drive the Toyota Yaris.
Complementing this august presence of the political heavyweights cum movers and shakers of opinions in the corporate
Nigeria were a full house of Motoring Journalists who were solely sponsored by TNL to accord the Toyota Yaris a strategic
positioning in the media.
It is on record that the number of the high net worth visitors recorded on the TOYOTA DAY alone was more than the
one recorded on the remaining 8 days of the event put together.
This is an indication of the fame, acceptability, strength, brand visibility and equity which the TOYOTA brand enjoys in the country.
