Dyna Global Performance
Dyna powerplants combine both power and economy in the best interests of business. This means the driver has power on demand to meet any situation, while the owner profits from reduced fuel consumption.
The 3700 direct injection engine is a prime example of this combination of high performance and economy. The 3700 diesel engine incorporates a TRB (Toyota Reflex Burn) direct injection combustion chamber to deliver superior combustion efficiency, high torque at all revolutions and low fuel consumption.
High precision FRM (Fibre Reinforced Metal) is employed in the top piston ring groove to ensure high resistance to wear.

The snorkel air cleaner not only helps prevent intake related problems by minimising the suction of dust, but also cuts down on noise through the use of a resonator. Precise regulation of injection timing and fuel usage is made possible by a fuel injection pump. A design consideration provides the added benefit of minimising the emission of smoke, thereby meeting environmental concerns.

A host of thoughtful measures contribute to easy engine access. For example, when the cab is tilted, the shift level lifts away with the cab. This is made possible by a wired shift control system. A soundproofing apron is positioned on the frame side. The cab tilt mechanism also ensures direct access to the engine when inspection and maintenance are required.

Relays and fuses are located in the fuse box under the glove box to simplify inspection and replacement.

DYNA SAFETY
Dyna Safety is approached in the same manner as automobile safety, wherein active safety and passive safety play equal important roles.
 
Toyota's relentless pursuit of safety is evidenced by the use of many advanced technologies all of which contribute to the comfort and peace of mind of both owner and driver.
 
 
Active Safety - or preventing accidents before they happen - is based on a fast and accurate understanding of and reaction to surrounding conditions. When driving on rainy days or at night time, for example, good visibility is a must. That is why the driver is assured of good sight lines for instant comprehension of prevailing traffic situations, and why the Dyna is designed to be highly visible to other drivers.

The Dyna also offers a stress-free driving environment, a place that helps the driver from tiring easily. The Dyna high level of basic performance, such as driving, turning and stopping from the onset help Dyna drivers to avoid unnecessary safety problems.

Passive Safety - Maximising occupant well being in the unfortunate instance of an accident, is a key function to play as well. The cabin helps shield occupants from secondary impacts and facilitates escape and rescue in the unlikely event that these measures should indeed prove necessary.
 
The 3-point ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) seatbelts hold the occupants securely yet comfortably in place, without feeling restricted.
 
The Dyna brakes feature tandem masters and a booster for stable, easy to handle braking performance. A handy one touch exhaust brake is also available. The engine brake provides assurance when travelling downhill with a full load.
 
Low angle visibility to the left and right is excellent: thanks to the side corner windows. These are especially helpful when turning; just another example of Toyota people friendly design that takes both driver and pedestrians into account.
 
The side mirrors are large and mounted on long supports, so rearward visibility is excellent even when fully loaded or when your Dyna is configured for special purposes.
 
The Dyna has bright head lamps for excellent visibility at night and under adverse weather conditions. Large clearance lamps contribute to outstanding Dyna visibility from surrounding vehicles.
