TOYOTA (NIGERIA) LIMITED DONATES BOOKS

TOYOTA (NIGERIA) LIMITED DONATES BOOKS TO SCHOOLS IN OSHODI/ISOLO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) batch A 2008 “IMPACT ON EDUCATION” Community development group serving in Oshodi/Isolo Local government area indeed impacted on education when on the 19th November, 2008, the group with the financial support of Toyota (Nigeria) Limited (TNL) donated books on various subjects to the schools’ library of Oshodi Senior High School (OSH), Oshodi and Ireakari Grammar School (IGS), Okota.

Present at the occasion were the Principal of OSH, Mrs. Adeniyi Rachel Adefioye while a Senior teacher of IGS represented the school principal. The Managing Director of TNL was represented by the A.G.M. Finance & Account Mr. Bunmi Onafowokan and ably supported by the P.R. Manager, Mrs. Bukki Ogunnusi. Also present at the occasion were the Zonal Inspector, NYSC, Mrs. Yagazie and officers of the NYSC CD group, IMPACT ON EDUCATION.

The event clearly manifested Toyota (Nigeria) limited’s consistent belief in corporate social responsibility; the core values of education and its far reaching impact on the society and the future of our dear nation, Nigeria. It also underscores the need for the private sector to consciously compliment Government’s tireless effort in resuscitating the educational sector and reawakening the dwindling reading culture in our society.
