DATE / PERIOD:

The 13 th edition of the annual Abuja Motor Fair held for 9 days i.e. from 12 th to 20 th October, 2011 at Eagle Square, Abuja

VISITORS TO THE FAIR:

The fair drew visitors from different walks of life ranging from the public to the organized private sectors of the economy. They came in their numbers to touch, feel, make enquiries, place orders and ultimately make purchases.

OPENING DAY:

The Fair was declared open amongst pomp and pageantry by the Honorable Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Olusegun Agangan. He was warmly received at the Toyota stand on behalf of TNL Management by the Public Relations and Advert Manager Mrs. Bukunola Ogunnusi. The minister took time to feel the Toyota models particularly the Corolla 1.6 liter and the Landcruiser VX.

VSTAR MODEL:

The newly introduced Corolla 1.6 liter was the center of attraction as it was the latest addition to the Toyota model line up. It was therefore specially decorated in order to create some buzz around it. This paid off as it became the cynosure of all eyes to visitors to the Toyota stand.

VISITORS TO TNL STAND:

TNL paraded 30 vehicle models from across the Toyota model line up. This was responsible for the highest number of visitors that thronged its stand. Compared to others, TNL had the most unique of all displays for the following reasons:

About 300 visitors including the Honorable Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Olusegun Agangan and Benue State Governor Suswam, Ambassador of Iran to Nigeria, Chairman of DARR Communications Limited, Chief Raymond Dokpesi amongst other high net worth individuals  that signed our register.

TNL COMPETITIVE AT THE FAIR

The following factors gave Toyota (Nigeria) Limited the edge above competition at the Fair:

  • The gigantic tent which has almost become TNL’s trade mark provided cover for visitors against the elements as they admired the array of models creatively arranged under it.
  • TNL occupied the most vantage part of the display ground
  • TNL had the highest number of vehicles on display.
  • TNL embarked on complete auto display as it also showcased spare parts and the electronic tester with which free diagnosis of vehicles was carried out by a trained TNL technician. This underscored availability of superb after sales which always put the Toyota brand ahead of competition in the Nigerian auto market.
